About our Happiness Meter
When it comes to defining happiness, everyone has his own understanding. According to most people, it cannot really be defined since it’s a feeling and not something actually measurable.
Happiness is a state of mind. It can be explained as "momentary" - that is how we feel at a particular "moment" and how we perceive our whole life. However, is there really a way we can measure happiness?
Happiness is most often evaluated by the level of one’s well-being. In our holistic life perception, it becomes easier to quantify our happiness as more financial parameters apply - for example, the amount of money savings we have, a good job, the security and health of our kids, etc.
However, it is scientifically proven that even after a certain level of well-being, our happiness level slightly depends on the financial factor.
Imagine we are already at the stage where we have enough according to a good well-being definition – then what are the factors that define our happiness and what else can we do to be happy? Or even, happier?
The reality nowadays is that every day we live, we face so many challenges in the pursuit of our momentums of happiness.
It has also been identified that one of the factors that shapes our happiness can be the great services we receive everywhere at our daily activities as customers or consumers. So, does that mean our happiness is the outcome of activities that we are exposed to or we perform? Or is it an impact of people around us? Or could it be all of them?
Happiness is a state of activity! We, at Pixelhunters, have found a way to measure our happiness and motivate it! Want to know more?
